Jindal's IDB Members oust a public member
over the utterance of the words "November, 2011."

Although IDB Members appeared to have minimal concern over the LAO report (with those fears laid to rest via Attorney Dow's assurance that Jindal gave assurances the practice was acceptable from his vantage point), they may have been better advised to have held such concerns.  Upon the conclusion of their investigation, the LAO forwarded everything they'd compiled to EBRP District Attorney Hillar Moore for potential criminal prosecution; however, Daryl Purpera, Legislative Auditor, expressed concerns to Robert Burns that, with the IDB approving this whole setup, Ms. Edmonds would have a "get out of jail free" card.

EBRP DA Moore, after receiving material from LAO's Purpera, in turn forwarded the matter on to Louisiana Inspector General Street's Office (OIG).  The OIG ultimately issued this December 9, 2013 report stating:

1.  Ms. Edmonds has frequently been paid while "performing no public purpose,"

2.  Ms. Edmonds has taken out-of-state vacations while reporting to be "on the clock," and

3. Ms. Edmonds lied to OIG Investigators regarding having done so.

For her deceit to OIG Investigators, the OIG recommended the IDB consider "appropriate disciplinary action up to and including termination."

All right.  Let's conclude our discussion of why IDB Members were so sensitive to "November, 2011."
